Trash the dress
We had such a great time working with Crystal and Juan from the very start of their wedding planning through their big day and more. The next day we met at sunrise for this awesome trash the dress photo shoot. Through our other services of wedding planning and coordination, we were able to really get to know Crystal and her vision to make her dreams into reality.
Some things to remember for your trash the dress shoot:
1. Forget perfection. Your wedding photos had the perfect hair and the perfect makeup. Wet down your hair and add in texturing product then smokey up those eyes.
2. Be crazy. These are not those same photo shots from the day before but the trash the dress is your chance to be editorial and non-conventional. Do not be afraid to channel your inner Tyra Banks and give yourself the chance to let loose.
3. Go for it. You have booked the session so get in that water, roll in the sand, and do not be afraid to get messy. Our bride (and groom) was up for it all and that creates magic.
4. Communicate with your photographer so your expectations and theirs are the same. If you have seen trash the dress ideas that you like on Pinterest, share them with your photographer. They will have many of their own great ideas that you have not thought of but us photographers are open to your wants as well. Check out more photography on our Facebook page here at More of our work.
I have clients all the time that ask for suggestions on how to get great photos. Your photographer is important but there is more…I always like to remember something my husband always likes to say: “Every bride is beautiful on her wedding day.” Believe it because that will come through in all your photos and you will have captured the true bliss of your big day.
